Stamattina al Samuel Goldwyn Theater di Beverly Hills sono state annunciate le nomination all’Oscar 2012, attesissimo preludio alla premiazione più importante nel mondo del cinema, quella dei prestigiosi Academy Award. Noi li conosciamo come “Oscar” e così li chiameremo, con un nome coniato ancora non si sa come e perché. Ha letto l’elenco dei candidati di quest’anno l’attrice Jennifer Lawrence, candidata durante la scorsa edizione. Il miglior film è la statuetta più ambita, quella che premia l’intera produzione per la pellicola che più si è distinta nel 2011.
Quest’anno se la contenderanno The Artist, film muto in bianco e nero che racconta l’avvento del sonoro e la morte del muto negli anni ’20; The Descendants, con un George Clooney magistrale; Molto Forte, incredibilmente vicino con Tom Hanks e Sandra Bullock; The Help un drammone contro il razzismo con Emma Stone; Hugo, il primo film per famiglie girato da Martin Scorsese; Midnight in Paris, ultimo film di Woody Allen; Moneyball, titolo nostrano L’arte di vincere, ovviamente a Baseball; The Tree of Life di Terrence Malick, già premiato a Cannes, e infine War Horse, di Steven Spielberg.
Film che hanno a loro volta partorito altre nominations, dai migliori attori alla sceneggiatura e ai costumi. A rappresentare l’Italia ci saranno quest’anno solo tre talenti: Dante Ferretti e Francesca Lo Schiavo, candidati per production design e set decoration di Hugo e Enrico Casarosa, regista del cortometraggio animato La Luna. L’Italia, dopotutto ha fatto bella figura agli Academy Awards: Roberto Benigni è l’unico attore non anglofono ad aver vinto l’Oscar come miglior attore protagonista e il secondo( dopo Laurence Olivier nel 1949) ad aver vinto il premio in un film diretto da lui stesso. Inoltre, insieme a Sophia Loren e Marion Cotillard, detiene il primato di attore ad aver vinto l’Oscar recitando in lingua non inglese.
La cerimonia di premiazione avverrà il 26 febbraio.
